Project Coordinator at Meath Community Drug and Alcohol Response. Addiction Recovery Specialist & Researcher
Currently, I serve as Project Coordinator for Meath Community Drug and Alcohol Response in Co. Meath. I hold an MSc in Addiction Recovery from Trinity College Dublin, where I graduated at the top of my class in 2023. My research has been presented at both the EMCDDA Conference in Lisbon (2022) and the EWODOR Conference in Trinity College Dublin (2023).
Additionally, I contribute to policy and advocacy as a Board Member of the Recovery Academy of Ireland and Meath Opportunity for Training.

Recovery Advocacy: Focus on Women and Non-Abstinent Approaches
My passion lies in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, with a particular focus on women in recovery, the barriers they face, and the emerging field of non-abstinent-based recovery. My work is deeply informed by personal experience—having overcome heroin addiction, I am now 20 years in recovery.
Outside of my professional life, I am a qualified gym instructor and enjoy fitness, sea swimming, reading, meditation, and mindfulness. I also serve as Secretary of O’Connells GFC in Castlebellingham, Co. Louth. Most importantly, I am a dedicated mother, having raised my sonas a single parent.
